Naenae Women Dominate

Naenae Bowling Club women have had a solid start to their campaign securing both the Valley Cup and Bowl in the annual Hutt Valley competition.

The annual competition, which has not been played for the past four years due to adverse weather, is designed to allow clubs to test their selections before Interclub begins.

Naenae women were dominant in both competitions winning all 15 of their matches.

New Regional Bowls Centre Opens

The new Regional Bowls Centre at Walter Mildenhall Park was officially opened by Mayor Ray Wallace and the Chairperson of the Community Facilities Trust Kirsten Patterson at 4.30pm on Friday.

The Bowls Centre is the new home of the Naenae Bowling Club, which has moved from its old site in Witako Street, next to Lower Hutt Hospital. The Club has merged with the Naenae RSA and Park Avenue Bowling Club.

‘World class’ regional bowls centre opens in Naenae

Wellington has a new “world class” Regional Bowls Centre.

The $6.25 million facility in Lower Hutt,  the new home to the Naenae Bowls Club and boastinig  three traditional outdoor greens and one covered artificial green, was opened on September 1.

Club president Ross Thorn had been looking forward to the opening of the facility for some time and was  rapt with how it had turned out.
